Views from the Porch Swing ~ August 2009 Farewell to Summer? I must admit that I’m just not ready to say good bye to summer, but as I stroll the isles of our local store crowded with school supplies and look out the window to see the school buses making their “test runs”, I guess I can’t live in denial any longer. If you have a student heading back to school or going off for the first time, why not treat them to a Vera backpack, messenger, metro or lunch bag. Have a Question? We are always happy to try and answer questions, so please don’t hesitate to email us.  Here are a couple of our most recently asked questions: 1.  I’ve seen your pictures on eBay.  Do you sell on eBay? No.  We started out on selling on eBay years ago, but for the last year and a half (almost two years) we have sold exclusively through our website.  If you see our pictures on eBay they have been illegally copied. 2.  Are you the shop formally known as the “Heart of Dresden”? No.  Sadly, it seems that the company went out of business.  They made lovely custom lids and accessories for the Longaberger baskets, and we do have some for sale.  But we are not in anyway affiliated with them. P.S.  If anyone happens knows what happened to the Heart of Dresden, and would like to share with the rest of us, please drop us a note or post it to our discussion board on FaceBook. Did you see this? As many of you know, Longaberger just hosted their annual Bee (convention), and as in years past they unveiled some of their upcoming products.  Guess what next year’s Sweetheart basket will be.  Here’s a clip that the company posted on You Tube… 2010 Sweetheart Basket.
