July’s Recipe ~ Orange Pork Chops or Chicken

Orange Pork Chops or Chicken
Ingredients:
6 thick pork chops or chicken
4 T. brown sugar
1/2 t. cinnamon
3 whole cloves (take out before serving)
1 t. salt
1 t. mustard
1/4 Cup catsup
1 T. vinegar
1 - 11 oz. can of mandarin oranges
2 T. corn starch
Brown pork chops or chicken on both sides. Drain oranges reserving juice. Combine juice with remaining ingredients and corn starch and pour over the pork chops. Cover and simmer gently for 40 minutes. During the last 5 minutes add orange slices.
I serve with mashed potatoes. The gravy from the pork or chicken is delicious on the potatoes.
